Student Study Team

A Student Study Team (SST) Meeting can be conducted if a student is struggling in several classes. A student, teacher, administrator, counselor or parent/guardian can request an SST meeting. Counselors can help get this requested meeting scheduled.

Your child’s counselor will convene the student’s teachers, a resource specialist and an administrator to discuss the studen’s strengths, what has been working for the student, what has not been working and areas for improvement.

Then, an Action Plan is developed and distributed to all of the student’s teachers. The Action Plan can be reviewed by the team after 4-6 weeks.

If a student is struggling in a specific class, we suggest getting in touch with the teacher. Challenges in one class do not necessarily warrant convening an SST.
