PHs AP English Reading Shakespeare outside

Prerequisite:  Completion of  Honors Math Analysis or equivalent course with a grade of A- or higher in the second semester or Math Analysis with a grade of A or higher in the second semester.

(UC approved “c”)

Calculus BC is an Advanced Placement course, equivalent to a full year college calculus course, which prepares students for technical and scientific studies, as well as other areas of study that require advanced math.  Students will develop both a mechanical and conceptual understanding of a variety of topics, which involve differential and integral calculus and apply concepts to real-world situations.  Students prepare for the AP Calculus BC exam in Spring.   The pace of this course is quite brisk, and student work outside class will be extensive (4-8 hours per week).  Students who take AP Calculus BC should be confident in their math skills, excited for a challenge, and be able to complete work independently.  Students should also weigh their other time commitments for the school year in deciding if this course is right for them.  Students who sign up for AP Calc BC will be required to complete a summer assignment prior to the course.
