Prerequisite:  A in both semesters of IM 2B/3 or IM3

(UC approved “c”)

This course offers a more extensive, technical and in-depth study of the topics covered in the standard Math Analysis course.  It is intended for students who are extremely competent in mathematics and interested in pursuing a career in math or science.  Problem sets are challenging and require students to prove relationships and clearly explain their reasoning.  Comprehensive exams will be given on a regular basis.  Each semester, there will be a comprehensive final exam.
