Prerequisite:  C or higher in both semesters of IM 2B/3 or IM3 or equivalent

This is a college preparatory course for students planning to take more advanced math and science courses.  It includes all mathematical skills and concepts needed to prepare students for college-level calculus.  Students will demonstrate their math competencies algebraically, numerically, graphically and verbally.  Specific topics include a review of functions (polynomial, exponential, logarithmic and rational) and their applications, trigonometric equations and applications, polar forms, conic sections, matrices, and limits of series. The Standards for Mathematical Practice will be woven throughout lessons, problem sets and assessments.  Assessments will include unit exams and mid-unit quizzes
